5 Grooming Products to Steal from Your Girl

Alright, fellas… This is the time to be honest with ourselves. If you’re not already doing so, now is the time to steal some of those grooming products our wives or girlfriends use and start to use them on ourselves.

Think about it. Ever wonder how these women look flawless? Great looking skin, smell great and never a hair out of place. A lot of it has to do with the grooming products they use. You guys know what I’m talking about. Women have their beauty regimen down to a science.

You can easily slap on a black or blue label on some women grooming products and it’ll work just as good on men or even better! Remember, women have been doing this for ages. Not until recent times of the resurgence of the modern gentlemen have men's grooming product companies started to make grooming products for the fellas.

So stop being lazy and drop that all-in-one body wash you use from head-to-toe and steal these 5 grooming products from your girl:

  1. Cetaphil Cleanser $9 & Clarisonic $99:

If you’re washing your face with the same soap you wash your body with, then you’re doing it all wrong. We have different types of skin on different parts of our body. Skin is thicker in certain areas and softer in others. Some of our softest and thinnest skin is on our face. Cetaphil is gentle on your face and won’t irritate you like other harsh cleansers meant for your body.

The first time I saw this jigga-ma-thing was during a commercial on TV. A week later I saw it in the shower because my wife ended up buying one! Oh, how I made fun of her for being suckered into buying a Clarisonic. Well… I finally decided to give it a try and now I’m the sucker for not trying it sooner!

This thing is amazing! The easiest way to explain its effectiveness is: have you ever tried waxing or polishing your car by hand? Then have you tried polishing your car with a buffing machine?

Exactly. What a difference it makes. The Clarisonic, or what I like to call a ‘face buffer machine’, moves so fast, scrubs your face extra clean and gets in areas you can’t get by simply using your hands.

2. GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment: $69

This stuff works great for men's common skin issues like acne, ingrown hairs and razor bumps. Even though you use a daily face cleanser, now and then you’ll get a stubborn pimple or razor bumps. I’ve seen my wife wear this facial mask once a week and again, I thought this was gimmicky.

When I finally asked her what she thinks I can use to give my face a deep cleaning and help prevent pimples, she recommended I try the GlamGlow facial mask. What a difference my face feels after using this stuff. It leaves my face feeling refreshed and healthy-looking. It’s kind of our weekly ritual where we apply the masks on Sunday night as we get ready to go to bed. Don’t judge me…

3. Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment: $38

This stuff has maracuja fruit, it’s vitamin C-infused and has several other ingredients I’ve never heard of. I have no idea what that means but what I do know is this under eye treatment works great to get rid of bags or dark circles underneath your eyes.

After pulling an all nighter for work or waking up Sunday morning after a long night out, I hated waking up with bags underneath my eyes and people telling me, “Hey man, you look tired”. My wife and I will go out and naturally we both wake up feeling and looking tired. Funny thing was about an hour later from waking up she looked refreshed and ready to hit up brunch.

Me?... I look dead tired… And you can tell because of the dark circles underneath my eyes. My wife finally shared some of her magic potion and applied that stuff on me. Major difference! So if you’re tired of looking tired, give this Tarte stuff a try.

4. Calamine Drying Lotion: $5.99

By now you should be using a daily cleanser along with the Clarisonic to get your face extra clean and a weekly facial mask for a deep cleaning. These products are meant to be used as part of your regular grooming regimen.

Now this bad boy here is used for an 'in case of an emergency' situation. You have an important presentation tomorrow or are attending a wedding and a pimple pops up on your face! Don’t worry… This is when this product comes in handy. We’re talking about some strong stuff here so ONLY apply the calamine drying lotion directly on the pimple. It’s meant to be used as a spot treatment. Apply the calamine drying lotion overnight and it will virtually shrink the pimple away!

I had no idea such witchery existed. Once again, another well kept secret taken from the wife.

5. Ardell Brow Trim & Shaper: $3.99

Part of men’s grooming consists of keeping all of our hairs on check. And one of the more important hairy areas we need to maintain are our eyebrows. Today’s modern man has either tweezed, shaved, waxed or threaded their eyebrows. This is where I like to remind my fellow gents that at the end of the day we are still men and we need to leave the “on fleek” looking eyebrows to our female counterparts.

Tweezing, shaving, waxing or threading give your eyebrows a perfect look. Almost too perfect of a look. You should keep your eyebrows looking clean and well maintained all while making them look natural. That’s when the Ardell Brow Trim & Shaper comes in.

My wife uses the brow trimmer & shaper for a quick eyebrow touch up but it works perfect for me. It keeps my eyebrows looking well groomed while maintaining a natural look. Plus, it’s painless… I think I’d rather have a root canal than endure another second of threading or tweezing.
