Today we’re going to be talking about the different types of combs there are and which ones to use to your advantage depending on the type of hair and haircut you have. I know there are tons of types of combs but we’re going to be talking about the basic essentials you guys are going to need.
First up is the rat tail comb. This comb helps with parting your hair, giving it a very clean look but still keeping the hair relaxed and casual looking. Now a pintail comb is just like a rat tail comb but it gives the hair a very sharp and clean look. The hair looks very tight, giving it a business look.
Next up is a rake comb. This comb serves the purpose of detangling your hair without pulling on the hair which damages the hair follicles and scalp. This comb has wide teeth that are spread apart allowing your hair to flow through without yanking on the hair.
Now it’s time for the vent comb. A vent comb is used when blow drying your hair. The comb has vents allowing the air to travel through the comb rather than around it. This gives your hair much more volume making it easier to style your hair.
Lastly is the all purpose pocket comb. This comb is a regular double sided comb which can be used for many hairstyles. It’s very versatile making it an essential comb.
That’s all for today fellas. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this. Don’t forget to follow me on all social media platforms. Until next time social gents.
